Owner Kevin Heaton opened the original Stone Canyon Pizza Co. in Parkville in 1995. His concept of a "pizza dinner house" is unique in casual dining;

Heaton combined the fantastic pizza and large pizza selection of a traditional "pizza parlor" with the unique atmosphere, entree variety and gourmet touch of a "dinner house" type restaurant.

A restaurant entrepreneur, Heaton has more than 20 years of experience in the business. He's managed Godfather's Pizza and owned two locations of Minsky's pizza. He also owned and managed Fuzzy's Sports Bar in Westport, Mo., and the Phoenix Piano Bar and Grill in downtown Kansas City. Stone Canyon in Parkville has been applauded in several local reviews:
